Hot Buttered Rum Concert Tonight!
Who: Hot Buttered Rum (w/ Jay Roemer Band)
About: Hot Buttered Rum, a souped-up, left-coast string band, is the brainchild of uniquely gifted musicians who weave their love of bluegrass, folk, jazz and soul into a riveting strain of Americana. String bass and five-alarm fiddle merge with guitar, banjo, mandolin, drums and keyboards to frame the voices of its two contrasting writers, fueling a dance party with roots in Appalachia and its branches in California. It’s a sound that’s as tough to describe as it is easy to love. Twenty years into its journey, HBR's music, dreamed up in the backcountry of the High Sierra and the basements of San Francisco, has found its way into the hearts, minds and bodies of fans nationwide. The band continues to tour year-round in support of its many albums and social causes. Don't miss the chance to see them soon!

On Aug 6, 1999, four young music enthusiasts, Oscar Vaca, Jesus Ramirez, Raul Romero, and Vicente Romero, gave complete trust and hope to the leader of the group, Juventino Romero. With a lot of determination, practice and hard work, they decided to plan an exciting musical adventure. Throughout the years, more musicians joined, which lead to the eight musicians who are a part of the group today.

Who’s playing?
The Suffers with Adiel Mitchell
The Suffers Bio: There is a contagious and combustible energy every time the eight-piece band The Suffers steps on the scene. NPR's Bob Boilen attributes the band's allure to their "Soul, straight from horn to heart." He adds, "This band is on fire when it's in front of an audience...but the intensity of their shows are also captured in the studio."
Adiel Mitchell Bio: Adiel Mitchell is a Denver-based songwriter who headlined shows alongside Bishop Briggs, Amber Mark, Tone Stith, and Neoma. Inspired by the sounds of New Jack Swing and old school R&B, Adiel refreshes the lush moods of contemporary Pop and thickens the groove with distinctly soulful vocals.
New Artist: Ben Wayde
About Ben Wayne: (not to be confused with owner/artist Ben Granillo) came to us from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been tattooing for almost a decade. After falling under the spell of the beautiful weather and scenery Colorado has to offer, he now calls Denver home. Ben’s tattoo style can be described as illustration-based realism. His art places an emphasis on textures and fine detail. He is heavily inspired by nature and loves to tattoo animals & insects, florals & botanicals, blackwork/stippling, mythology, monsters, landscapes, occult imagery, queer/lgbtq imagery, human faces, horror & gore.
Ben Wayne has started working with us in the beginning of June 2022, so he has full availability and books are open! Make an appointment with him today by going to “Contact” on our website and filling out the form.
“Lose Yourself to Become”
That’s our shop motto.
It means that the preconceived notions you have about “who you are” are holding you back. As tempting and comfortable as it is to put yourself into a “this is who I am” box- it’s holding you back from becoming. We’re here to constantly be Evolving.
People get tattoos for a variety of reasons, but one of my favorites is to mark a step in a personal journey. As much as tattoos are permanent, they are also a temporary art installation- only around as long as you are. Learning to live within the opposing ideas that things are permanent, and at the same time fleeting, changes your perspective on every moment and every human’s place in it. We’re all on our own journeys here, and would love to help you commemorate a step in yours.
Evolve with us!
Get a Ben original!
Our artist Ben has tons of designs up for grabs! He would love to be able to create more unique and twisted pieces for you to show off. How cool would it be if you got an original design that no one else has?? Please feel free to contact us and ask for Bens original designs, he would be more than happy to make it happen! This stunning skull moth is available to claim, message us now before it’s too late!

Who are The Deftones you ask?
Three of the band's original members – Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham and Chino Moreno – were friends in high school. With each member expressing their own style and love for music, they decided to start a band, adding Chi Cheng to the group in 1990. They released their first four-track demo that year, generating a cult following. Two years later, they were performing alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Korn. They soon caught the attention of a recruiter from one of the most popular metal labels in the field, Maverick Records. Working with Maverick Records throughout their career, the band has released eight studio albums.
What style of music??
Their first album, Adrenaline, dropped in 1995, 13 years after they formed. Well received, it sold more than 200,000 copies, eventually achieving gold status. With the hype from Adrenaline, their second album Around the Fur (1997) almost immediately went platinum. Due to their newfound popularity, Deftones performed at Warped Tour and had multiple Billboard hits. One of their most popular albums, White Pony, derived inspirations from bands such as Tool and Nine Inch Nails. Named one of the best albums of 2001, it earned them a Grammy. Their 2003 self-titled album Deftones reached No. 1 on numerous Billboard charts.

Local Business: Denver Distillery
We are always looking to make new friends and help support local businesses! Denver Distillery is our favorite spot to grab a drink! They are so warm and welcoming; their talented bartenders hand craft each cocktail and update their menu according to the seasons!
More about them:
Artisan distilling from grain to glass, all in house. Every step of the way we painstakingly choose the best ingredients and start from scratch: 100% Colorado grains, sweet potatoes, organic molasses, artisan yeasts, and rocky mountain snowmelt. From open air fermentation, malting and milling some of our grain in house, using wild and traditional beer yeast, to building our own copper pot still with a thump keg; we love the old ways. We also love to be creative. Vodka from sweet potatoes? Why not! Gin from rum? Let's add 21 botanicals and see what happens! Rum fermented with a Norwegian yeast strain? You betcha.
New Gallery Artist: Reginald Williams
Born 1972 in Wichita, Kansas, Reginald Williams began his artistic journey at a young age. A self-taught outsider, he has now sold art from coast to coast- Miami to L. A., New York to Atlanta. Reggie is inspired by artists such as Hieronymous Bosche, Pablo Picasso, and the Dadaists. He is also inspired by the architecture around him, and the beauty in practical design. Reggie paints thoughtfully; he thinks art should have a greater purpose. His goal is to influence future generations of artists.
Come see his work in person! His art will be up for display for a month, so make sure you see it before its gone on April 24th! Support local artists!
