OUR EVOLUTION
Our mantra at Evolution Tattoo is amittere sui et facti, or “lose yourself to become”. We believe that if we are to truly grow and evolve as people with a limited time on this earth, as we let go of our old selves, we also must face our self-doubt and bravely explore new possibilities. For inspiration, we look inward into the infinite complexity of ourselves and to you for the connection that this takes to make it real.
We can never really escape ourselves, which is why our focus is to make the most out of who we already are. We realize it takes courage. We also understand that it takes courage to create new ideas. And that as we grow and change, our new selves will evolve into a new reality, bold and brave with new perspectives, we find that what we become is a great way to honor who our old selves were. We also realize that there are many ideas constantly emerging from the creative community and are excited to see what new ideas become relevant in our ever-changing tattoo shop. It might get weird, but we love that.
We get people from all walks of life in our shop, so please respect the diversity that art brings together. We are a new fusion concept honoring both the old ways that formed the foundation of what tattooing has become today and fusing it with the new concepts that are more relevant and progressive. Each artist at our shop has their own private studio room, and many of our more seasoned artists are by appointment only. This is a great way to take your time planning larger pieces. Don’t worry, though; we usually keep time open for walk-ins with our amazingly talented artists. What this means for you is that you get all the perks a private studio has offer like private rooms, TVs to watch while you are getting tattooed and are away from the imposing world so that you get better art. We also have snacks and goodies, so don’t worry if you forget to bring them.
Ben Granillo opened the doors to Evolution Tattoo in June of 2021. Evolution is a private studio space located in Denver, CO. Close to the Santa Fe Street Art District, walking into the studio feels like it’s its own gallery. Creating a welcoming space that’s covered in plants and art, we hope to create a relaxing space for you to get your dream tattoo. Our shop is an inviting and ideal atmosphere for both clients and our artists to explore concepts that evolve into one-of-a-kind pieces of anatomical adornment.
